SMART ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS IN COLD CLIMATES

LKAB Contact    LTU Contact Kristina L Nilsson

The research project aims to investigate, develop methods and techniques for energy efficient cultural heritage buildings in cold climate without deforming the antiqurian and architechtural values. By applied science and development the ambition is to find new knowledge to be implemented in cultural heritage and building sectors. Cultural heritage buildings with various types and construction are selected in some settlements in Northern Sweden. Architectural and heritage values are documented and current energy status is measured and analysed. Methods and material for energy efficiency are collected national and internationally. New methods will be developed for smarter energy use at rebuilding and are tested. New knowledge is distributed to property owners and real estate managers.
